At 55, Goodall not only walked away with the title but also a grand prize of $1 million and the excitement of recently marrying his partner, Angie. Surreal doesn’t even cover what has happened,” Goodall expressed in a heartfelt interview with PEOPLE after his win. “This has been an absolute rollercoaster and now it has ended with absolute golden dust flying everywhere.”
In a nostalgic nod to his roots, Goodall performed “Don’t Stop Believin’”—the very same song that won the hearts of the judges during his audition—alongside members of the iconic band Journey. “I never imagined I’d be on this stage with them,” he shared. “The audition was just supposed to be a fun experience, and I never dreamed it would lead to this.”
As the finale progressed, the ten finalists were gradually narrowed down, creating a suspenseful atmosphere. Goodall and fellow finalists Jonasi, Kardinaly, Sky Elements, and Rhythm and Roni anxiously awaited the results.
