Fantastically excellent! Parrot’s amazing rendition of Rihanna in an Eminem song becomes viral online

A sassy parrot has threatened to upstage Rihanna after a video of the bird singing the pop star’s lines in an Eminem song became an internet sensation.

The un-named parrot was filmed turning on its perch and gazing at the camera as it nailed its rendition of Rihanna’s lines in The Monster.

YouTube user Edilson Barros laughed and spoke Portuguese to the pet in the short clip, which has been viewed almost 730,000 times.

Is this parrot channeling Rihanna by singing along to her hit song?

In the footage, the pretty Polly echoed Rihanna’s lines: ‘I’m friends with the monster that’s under my bed.

‘Get along with the voices inside of my head.

‘You’re trying to save me, stop holding your breath – and you think I’m crazy, yeah, you think I’m crazy.’

The tropical bird is quite a drama queen.

During the clip the parrot can be seen strutting up and down its perch like a model on a catwalk.

At one point the green and yellow bird even seemed to think it had hair like Rihanna, flicking its head as if to toss its curly locks for the audience.

Eminem released The Monster as the fourth single from his album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, in October 2013.

The video of the parrot has been met with enthusiasm by many online commenters.
