Richard Goodall was honored on Monday with a lavish “welcome home” celebration held at West Vigo Middle and High School.
Goodall is a custodian at the school and has made it to the semi-finals of America’s Got Talent with his amazing singing.
Students, teachers, and staff enthusiastically cheered him on when he returned on Monday.
Seeing everyone work together toward a single goal is what matters most. That’s the beauty of music, Goodall said: it brings people together and makes them happy.
In addition, he gave the students encouragement by assuring them that they too could fulfill their aspirations. The pupils said that they have been inspired by Goodall’s achievements.
Goodall will be getting ready for his next performance in the upcoming weeks. In the second week of September, he is scheduled to return to the show.
