From a Million-Dollar Dream Home to a New Stage, Richard Goodall’s Journey Continues Toward His Next Big Break

Richard Goodall and his wife, Angie, recently reached a long-held dream: they secured a beautiful home in Terre Haute, Indiana, made possible by their impressive $1 million prize. The couple’s journey to this milestone has been a story of dedication and perseverance, culminating in the excitement of finally calling this place their own. Their new home represents not only a fresh chapter but also a testament to the unwavering support they’ve shown each other along the way.

Yet, as the dust settles on this achievement, another exciting challenge lies just ahead for Richard. He’s about to embark on a new journey that promises to add yet another layer of fulfillment to his life. This time, it’s the stage at Indiana State University that awaits him, where he’ll have the opportunity to showcase his talents in a setting close to his heart. For Goodall, this performance isn’t just about the music; it’s a chance to inspire and connect with his community, drawing on both his musical abilities and the life lessons he’s gathered along the way.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO) — The humble singing janitor with a golden voice won a million dollars and the hearts of a worldwide audience Tuesday night.

“I was standing there just waiting and they flipped it open and said my name. Wow! Confetti comes down. Magic,” Richard Goodall said as he held the card that AGT host Terry Cruz used to announce the winner.

Hearing his name has been a long time coming. Goodall started the audition process in the spring. It all came about after a Tik Tok video was posted of him singing to students at West Vigo. AGT judge Howie Mandell was among those who saw it.
