Richard Goodall’s cover of ‘Makin’ Me Look Good Again’ is turning heads with his version winning over Gen X audiences

 

 

White, Monty Criswell, and Shane Minor wrote the song, which is mostly about how much he loves his wife Alex and how she makes him feel good about himself after a long day of traveling. The song’s lyrics paint a picture of a gritty, exhausted musician who has traveled a lot. He discovers that his wife is the one who can make him seem nice again with just a few embraces.

Tattered and worn, eroded and shredded drug through that rear door’s keyhole. The blood behind these shadows blazed red. Yes, I’ve had better days, but I still look horrible.
And then those tender arms enfold me once more, making me appear attractive once more.
