Richard Goodall, the former school janitor turned viral singing sensation, delivered a stirring rendition of the national anthem at Indiana State University’s (ISU) Men’s Basketball home opener. The packed crowd at the Hulman Center fell silent as Goodall, whose heartfelt vocals first caught the world’s attention, took the mic to perform his powerful rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner.

Goodall’s rise to fame began with a viral video of him singing Journey’s Don’t Stop Believin’ at a fifth-grade graduation ceremony, a performance that earned him admiration nationwide. Since then, he’s appeared on America’s Got Talent and at other high-profile venues, each time capturing audiences with his rich voice and humble story.

For the ISU Men’s Basketball team and their fans, his performance marked a special moment, uniting the crowd with a sense of pride and local spirit.
