Sydnie Christmas releases Starlight Express new music video

Britain’s Got Talent 2024 winner Sydnie Christmas has released her official video for new single Starlight Express.

Sydnie’s incredible version of the song is from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s hit musical Starlight Express – which is now playing in London at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre.

Sydnie recorded the video of the song on the stage of Starlight Express in London, where the show started running in June in a brand new production directed by Luke Sheppard (& Juliet).

The Starlight Express single came about after Andrew Lloyd Webber heard Sydnie sing the song on Instagram, and urged her to record it as a single.

Sydnie’s journey to stardom wasn’t without its challenges. After a series of failed auditions, she saw Britain’s Got Talent as her final chance to make an impression. But little did she know, she would not only impress but also receive the Golden Buzzer from Amanda Holden and go on to win the entire competition.

Following her BGT victory, Sydnie has a busy few months ahead. One of the standout moments will be her performance at The Royal Variety Performance, a prestigious tradition for BGT winners. She’s also set to perform at the iconic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles as part of a special birthday celebration for 16-time Grammy Award winner David Foster. Foster, who has worked with legendary artists like Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, and Aretha Franklin, was blown away by Sydnie’s voice during her BGT performances.

Come December, Sydnie will return to her hometown for the festive season, starring as Fairy Christmas in Dartford’s Orchard West’s production of Sleeping Beauty. And the excitement doesn’t end there — in February 2025, she will embark on her debut UK solo headline tour, performing in some of the country’s most renowned venues.
